More than 41,000 people visited a Monash campus in Victoria during the University’s 2009 Open Day weekend from 1-2 August.
The University’s website was also inundated with more than 110,000 people logging on – up from 90,000 in 2008.
Clayton campuses hosted their Open Day from 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday 2 August and The Good Shepherd congregation set up two BBQ’s after the morning liturgy and cooked until 4pm, supplying visitors with delicious sausages, veggie burgers, cakes and drinks. It was a very succesful day and many more people than last year were encouraged to go inside the Religious Centre and see the main Chapel all set up for our services.
Director of Caulfield and Clayton campuses Professor Rob Willis congratulated all the volunteers and campus coordinators for their efforts in making the event such as success.
“It was a great team effort by staff and students showcasing our campuses,” Professor Willis said.
